Selection Process

Entrance Exam

The Entrance Exam is offered twice a year (in July and November) and the rules and regulations are published through an Open Call at least 2 months in advance. Specific rules can vary from year to year, depending on the interests of the university and the program, so we ask that students applying for a spot in the Program carefully read the corresponding call. The entrance exam consists of a knowledge test in the areas of the Program (Anatomy, Cell Biology, Tissue Biology, Biochemistry, and Physiology), evaluation of the candidate's CV, an interview for research project presentation, and a foreign language test (reading-writing).

Do I have to travel to Campinas City to take the exam?

Not necessarily. Depending on the candidate's location, they may be allowed to take the exam at a University and/or Research Institute near their residence.

Is the general knowledge exam mandatory for all candidates?

Yes, the entrance exam is mandatory for all candidates.

Do I have to take the exam in Portuguese?

Foreign candidates can take the exam in English. The option to take the test in another language must be checked during enrollment, according to the information disclosed in the Call.
